Thee Hubbell House is Designated Texas Historic Landmark. The B&B was voted "Best B&B in the Upper East Side of Texas" in 2007 and 2008. You can choose the room you prefer - one of the five beautifully appointed rooms in the main house, a room in the Carriage House or the Little Hogg House, which is a private guest cottage.

The stately elegance of the mansion and grounds take you back to a time when conversation was an art and civility the norm.


The Double C Steakhouse is a favorite with locals, as well as visitors from the city. The casual atmosphere hints at the Old West and the menu pure classic country-western fare. Steak and BBQ are gold standard at this popular restaurant. The Flat-Iron steak and chicken-fried steak are legendary. Catfish and chicken options are also on the menu.

 
Crossroads is well known far beyond the city limits of Winnsboro. Dallasites, in fact, drive out specifically to see the fine artists who appear on the "back porch" stage in the historic downtown building. Singer-songwriters bring jazz, blues, country, folk and Americana to the intimate setting.
