New early-bird opening time for the Farmer's Market for the summer

Anita Williams - Monday, June 28, 2010
The Farmers' Market is really picking up steam as people come to buy and sell.  But it's also getting very steamy as the summer progresses.

The new opening time is  8 am on Saturday mornings.  The vendors will likely be sold out and gone by 11:00-11:30 at the latest.

Right now you can get fresh produce, dairy products, jams/jellies and more.

Can I tempt you?  Sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, purple hull peas, squash, bell peppers, onions, blueberries and blackberries are currently in season.

The Jack Cross Pavilion at City Park provides plenty of shade, so come on over.

Check out the Winnsboro Farmer's Market site.
