Designated a Texas Historic Landmark
Voted "Best B&B in the Upper East Side of Texas"
by readers of
County Line Magazine in 2007, 2008
This stately mansion traces its roots to the 1800s.
The first building
was a hay barn built in 1875, while
the mansion itself was first built in
1888.
In 1906, Colonel J. A. Stinson of Georgia remodeled
the home,
giving it the gracious Southern plantation
style that remains today.
The Mansion houses five beautifully appointed rooms
while the Carriage House has six rooms. Each room has
a distinctive
look. The Little Hogg House was
originally built as a play house for the
Colonels'
grandchildren and serves as a private guest cottage.
Within walking distance of the historic downtown area
of Winnsboro, Thee
Hubbell House has gained a
loyal following and top marks from discriminating travelers.
